CarePaws ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you use the CarePaws mobile app ("App"), how it is used, and what choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

CarePaws is designed with a privacy-first approach. Most app data is stored on your device.

Information you provide in the App

• Pet profile details (such as name, diagnosis date, insulin type, and optional photo)
• Health tracking entries (glucose readings, insulin doses, weight, and optional notes)
• Reminder preferences and schedules

2. How Your Data Is Stored

• On-device storage: Most CarePaws data is stored locally on your iPhone.
• iCloud / CloudKit (optional): If you enable iCloud sync, limited CarePaws data may sync through Apple CloudKit on your device's iCloud account.

We do not operate a custom third-party backend that stores your CarePaws health logs outside Apple platform services.

3. How We Use Information

• To provide glucose, insulin, weight, history, trends, and report functionality
• To schedule local reminders and notifications you enable
• To maintain subscription and premium feature access status
• To support optional iCloud sync operations

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Notifications

CarePaws uses local notifications for reminders when you grant permission. You can manage these in the App and in iOS Settings.

5. Analytics and Tracking

CarePaws does not use advertising trackers and does not track you across third-party apps or websites for ads.

6. Subscription and Billing Data

Premium subscriptions are processed by Apple through your Apple ID. We do not directly receive or store your full payment card details.

7. Data Deletion and Account Deletion

You can control or remove your data directly in the App:

• Delete individual entries where available
• Use in-app "Delete All Data" to clear local app data
• Use in-app "Delete Account" to remove CarePaws profile data and related app data

Deleting account/data in the App does not automatically cancel an active App Store subscription. Subscription management is handled in Apple ID subscription settings.

8. Data Security

We rely on Apple platform protections, including device security controls and CloudKit access controls. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.

9. Third-Party Services

CarePaws relies on Apple platform services such as:

• iCloud / CloudKit (when enabled)
• App Store billing and subscription management
• iOS notification services

10. Children's Information

CarePaws is intended for adults managing pet health information. The App is not directed to children under 13.

11. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or request portability of your personal information. Because most CarePaws data is on your device, many actions can be completed directly in the App.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date when changes are made.
